Not only is this a picture of Tyler and I smiling, but it also makes me smile.
Spending the weekends with my boys at the deer lease has been the highlight of my year!
I will cherish these moments forever.

I can’t believe that it is Friday already! I had plans to upload and post pictures all week, but something always seemed to come up. Sigh. Jacob started Tae Kwon Do this week which takes up two evenings and I started a new bible study this Wednesday…. Life has just been cuh-razy!
I am excited super about this weeks theme.
See… living in West Texas wind is one thing we are never short of round here. If it’s not blowing at this very second, give it 5 minutes and it will be howling.
Last week we had a cold front move through and it brought some pretty strong winds and limited visibility along with it.
Just as the storm was starting to arrive…
…the dust storm in full force.

I am excited to post a pic from our Sea World trip. I am still editing photos. I only took like 900 or so. lol.

This weeks pic is of me and the boys on one of the rides in the Sesame Street play area. Now, if I had know that it swung back and forth and around in circles… I would never have gotten on it! But the kids loved it and it was so awesome to see their faces.

We were in San Antonio all weekend to go to Sea World, so this is a big relief. I hate missing a chance to post wonderful photos. You can head to Trina’s blog to see all the wonderful ‘Father’ photos.

Boy! It feels like for-ev-er since I have done a Photo Friday!
I am so happy to be back.
This week I thought long and hard about what I should do for ‘party’. And since I have winter babies and no one I know has a birthday right now, nor have I been to any kind of party lately…
I decided to take a pic of all my 4th of July party stuff that is in it’s bucket just waiting to be put out.
Even though it is just going to be the 4 of us, I wanted to make it special for the boys.
And since we have a fireworks ban because of the drought, the buckets are for our water balloon fight :)

Let me tell you…this one was hard!
I had to get creative this week since last week I was not very creative at all.
And I figured most people would take pics of their kids, so I decided to go a different rout.
Down the street from my house is a field. And in that field are some cows with HUGE personality.
And well… today this one kept giving me the evil eye!
Scary!!!
I think it had something to do with this brand new cutie patootie!
Is he not the cutest thing you have ever seen!
P.S. The cow with the flaring nostrils and evil eye was not this calf’s mother.

Now that blogger is working again it’s Photo Friday at Trina’s!
This week the theme is UP! And all I could think about were the pesky birds that are in my driveway all day long eating the deer corn from a bag that broke. It really is insane how many birds there are.
And well, as you know birds fly UP in the air. And that is as creative as I was this week. Sad I know.

This week is a hard challenge for me. I guess that is why they are called challenges, huh? I was not sure what I was going to post, and honestly just wanted to opt out this week. This Sunday is Mother’s Day and, well… me and my mother do not get along. At all. I would prefer to just not talk to her if I don’t have to. It’s sad I know, but I promise I am not being unreasonable. And when this weeks challenge came up I was scared. But then I remembered, I am a mother! I don’t have to post something about my mother! Now I feel better about it.

Here is a picture, the only one I have, of my wonderful mother in law. She is an amazing woman who loves God and is always there for you. I am glad that I have her to look up to. Maybe she won’t be too upset that I posted her picture on the internet :)

It was taken Christmas Day 2010 at my husbands uncles ranch. Did that make sense? I absolutely love it there. It is so quiet and peaceful. A nice place to get away and just relax… or go hunting.
Next Week: Mother
I have thought long and hard about this weeks Photo Friday challenge. Probably the most thought I have put into one yet. I know, I know… I need to put LOTS of thought into ALL of them. But, for some reason this one was special to me from the moment I found out what it was.
The first thing that came to my mind when I read the theme for this week was Spiritual Growth. These past few weeks I have really been focusing on my relationship with God and growing myself spiritually. I have recently become involved in a really good church with great people, I have made friends with the preacher’s wife and I am trying to help get a Woman’s Ministry started for our church. I have also been trying to help my children grow spiritually as well. Like with Easter fast approaching, I want my boys to know that Easter is about God, not about chocolate bunnies and egg hunts. Those can be fun too, but not the main focus. But more than anything else I want Michael and I to grow together spiritually, to have a more God centered marriage. And so far we are doing pretty good!

I have been a little MIA for a week or so and have missed the past two Photo Fridays over at Trina’s blog. I am glad to be back!
I am so excited that this week is work. When I think of work, my thoughts go straight to my husband. He is the hardest working man that I know. He literally works his fingers to the bone and until his soles come off.
I am also posting two pictures this week. I think that they show how hard my wonderful husband works for his family.
Now I just have to brag on him a little for a second… right now we have like a hundred wildfires burnin’ all around us {Lord, please send us some rain. Amen}. Well, today he got a call that one of the fire trucks was broke down, so he go to go to the front lines to fix the truck so they could continue to battle the fire, as they have been around the clock for two days. Isn’t he a wonderful man? I love him dearly.

It’s Photo Friday at Trina’s Blog again!
I am like a machine when it comes to planning things out, but when it comes to actually getting the majority of them done… that’s a different story. To help me with planning my week I have: my actual planner, the calendar on my iPhone and a miniature spiral notebook. It may seem a little overboard to some, but for me it works. Most people don’t understand how busy a stay at home mom can get. The one advantage my iPhone has is that I can set alarms to help remind me of appointments. I still revert back to my good ol’ trusty planner. At the end of the day it won’t crash, short out or accidentally delete my appointments.

I can’t believe it’s Photo Friday again over at Trina’s Blog! I know that this is not what you would typically think of when you hear the word spirit, but to me it screams SPIRIT! This is from Tyler’s hospital stay this last weekend. Even after waiting 6 hours in the ER, sitting in the same bed without being able to get up and run around and an IV, he still managed to have a smile on his face!

*Sorry I’m a little late. We had an emergency this morning. My youngest was taken to the hospital by ambulance and was unresponsive. His blood sugar was really low. They now have it back up and he is doing much better!*
It’s Photo Friday again over at Trina’s blog. I know I mention this every week, but I absolutely love participating in this. I like that it makes me think outside the box and come up with creative photos. This week with the theme being Romance I wanted to do something fun with mine and Michael’s wedding rings. See, when we got married Michael did not want a ring. Wearing one posed a huge risk. If his ring were to get caught in a machine it could easily rip his finger off. And that’s not a risk we wanted to take. But this last year, and boy was it a rough year, I decided to buy Michael a ring that would break before it could take his finger off. And I found the one below. It is ceramic and carbon fiber. He doesn’t wear it that often, but it’s nice for him to have one ‘just in case’. Plus, I am kind of hoping to renew our vows sometime in the near future… we shall see…
