Where should I put my keys?!?

I was reading Trina's blog Fabulously Frugalicious and saw that she had blogged about these fabulous key fobs from Sew Much Detail on Etsy so I thought that I would stop by and check it out. After browsing all of the wonderful designs I decided on the one below...

I wanted to buy a ton of them (and probably will now I know where to go) and decided on this design because it is simple and not too busy. I can't wait to get it in!!!

Yummy Tomatoes!

We were supposed to have my sister in law and her family over for dinner but they cancelled. We decided it would just be us having burgers as a family. I spice mine up pretty good so the little usually have hot dogs. I forgot to cook the hot dogs so I gave the kids just a little bit of burger. Jacob and I shared one and I cut Tyler's up and put some avacado, tomato and tater tots on his plate. The first thing to go was the tomatoes and he kept asking for more! He ate half of one just by himself and when he ran out he would use his tater tots to soak up the juice and seeds. I am so happy I finally have a kid that will eat veggies with me!

Here are a few pics taken with my phone tonight while we ate...

12 Inches Gone!

After reading Jen's post about cutting off 9" of her hair to donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths it inspired me....... TO CUT AND DONATE MY OWN HAIR! I had been playing with the idea for a while and decided it was time to go for it.

Let the cutting begin...

And it's over.... 12" gone

Goodby long hair.... Hello mommy hair!

I LOVE IT!!!

Amberly @ the Getaway Spa and Salon did a wonderful job. Thanks a million! Plus where else can you get Starbucks or Champaign while you wait to get a haircut?!?!
Also while checking out with the receptionist a lady asked me if I planned to donate my hair and when I told her yes she said thank you because her daughter has died of breast cancer and lost all of her hair. It made me feel good about what I had done.

And who knows I may go a little shorter!?!?

Wow! Almost a month...really?!?

Well I know that I posted almost a month ago that it had been forever since I had been on here and then I went MIA again. I have been such a bad blogger lately :( And since things are fianlly somewhat back to normal... I am bacl!!! (Just so you know I am going to backdate my posts up until now so it's like I was never gone :))

Life has definatly been chaotic here the past month! As you all know we started our own businees. We decided to call it... JMT SERVICES after Jacob Michael Tyler. Michael wanted something that had meaning and a name that included the boys names was the perfect way to do it. I am also pleased to tell you that everything is going awsome! He last day on the job was April 24th and we decided to go out of town that weekend to get away and he had a friend call him Monday and say that he found him a guy who wants to contract him out starting Tuesday morning and he has been there ever since. He has also been working for a ton of other people, our prayers have definatly been answered. And the best part is is that he is staying busy, loves what he's doing and were making more money! Yay! But the down side is he works a lot more than he used to so we don't get to see him much anymore.

I have been waiting on word from Jacob's potential pre-school on whether he got in or not. That has to be the hardest part. I really am hoping he got in because I really thinks he needs it just as much as me. And I know that he would enjoy having some kids his own age to play with during the day. Tyler has been sick with a snotty nose and an ear infection. That has been no fun for about 2 weeks. I can't wait until I get to sleep through the night again.

And in the next few weeks I have a wedding, 2 birthdays (one of which is Michael's) and Father's Day to plan for. And people wonder why I have 2 planners...lol

So tonight I called in dinner, had Michael pick it up on his way in from work and sat back, ate my hot wings and boy were they yummy! After the kids are bathed and to bed Michael and I are going to sit down and watch 'The Fog'....the remake since I have never seen it.

Hope you all had a wonderful Saturday! And I am so glad to be back!!!

Mother's Day Weekend Lake Trip

With us being self employed and all we decided that we needed to take a much needed vacation to Lake Amistad with some friends for 4 days. It wasn't the Mother's Day that I was hoping for and I tried getting out of it for weeks prior to leaving, but I really had the time of my life. There were a total of 8 adults and 8 kids (ages 4 mths to 17 yrs) staying in a single wide 3 bedroom trailer. We also got to hang out on a house boat that had a waterslide going form the second story down to the lake. It was a blast! We also had some jet skies and 2 boats. The whole time we were there Tyler was running a 103* fever because of an ear infection we didn't know about but as long as he was on motrin he was great. The men cooked for the ladies the whole time and I met some wonderful people and I can't wait to do it again!

On the way home we stopped at our friends parents house for Mother's Day and had a crab boil and boy was it yummy! I wish I would have got some pics of the kids eating crab, they loved it!
Hope every one had a wonderful Mother's Day!!!

This is where we loaded the boats everyday
