The bag:

I am currently carrying the Jo Totes Missy in Mint. Not only am I using this to carry may camera, I am also using this as my purse. I have really been wanting to carry my camera more because there always seems to be something that I want or need it for and it was just never there. Now I have no excuses.

So if you are looking for a camera bag look no further than Jo Totes. They are stylish and functional. Their quality and durability are outstanding, as is their customer service. I also have the Jo Totes Rose in Teal and it has held up exceptionally well over the years.

The camera:

For the past 4.5 years I have been using the Canon Rebel T2i w/18-55mm lens (it has been replaced by the Canon T3i). This is the camera that made me fall in love with taking pictures. And I got a super great deal on it back in 2010. It has been a great camera and held up really well over the years. Between kids, drops, spills, vacations and everything in between I really have no complaints about this camera. This year I am keeping my fingers crossed that Santa will bring me a new camera for Christmas. It is time for an upgrade.
The lenses:

My absolute favorite lens is the Canon 50mm f/1.4. I rarely ever take it off of my camera. It is perfect for everyday shooting when I am on vacation or just out with the kids. If you are looking for the perfect lens then you must check this one out. If this version is not in your budget they have the Canon 50mm f/1.8 that is less than half the price.

My very first lens that I purchased was the Canon 55-250mm. I was wanting something that I could use to zoom in pretty good when taking pics of the boys or to zoom in on landscape. At the time this one was my golden goose. It has worked great over the years. I have even dropped it. TWICE. For the price this lens is great and gets the job done.

I also own the Canon 85mm f/1.8. I originally bought it for pictures that I was taking at my sons Mothers Day Out. And it worked wonderfully. To be honest I probably don't use it as much as I should. It is a great lens and is very versatile.

Extras:

When I shot my first wedding a year or so back I bought the Speedlite430EX II since it was in a dimly lit indoor building. I had never used an external flash, but was really impressed with how much better it was than using the flash on the camera. If you are needing one this is a really good investment even if you do not plan on using it all the time.
