Moms of Boys

While visiting my friend, Lyryn’s blog yesterday morning I noticed that she had joined a Moms of Boys BlogHop. How cool is that! There is a place for mom’s of boy’s to go and meet other mom’s of boy’s. It’s great to know that I am not alone in this world. So I am joining the first ever M.O.B BlogHop! Yay! I am so excited :)

A Little About Mwah: My name is Tonja {that’s a ya, not a ja}. I have been happily married to Michael for the past 6 years. I am very blessed to have found a wonderful guy that loves me like he does. We live in Texas where we own a small oilfield business. I am a stay at home mom to my two boys and spend my days cooking, cleaning, decorating… you name it, I do it! I love to take photos. Mainly of the boys, but I also like to take pictures of the rugged beauty here in Texas.

My blog is about all kinds of stuff. I like to post about everything. It is my little escape and place to write about life and everything in it.

My Monsters: My boys are my life. They both came at the right times in my life and I feel incredibly blessed that God chose me to be there mommy.

Boys

Jacob is my oldest. He will be 6 in December. Jacob is my street wise child. It is so funny the things that come out of his mouth. He never picks sides and tries to make everyone happy. Jacob will also be starting kindergarten this year. I think I am more nervous than he is. I am so used to him being around all day every day that I am going to be lost without him.

Tyler will be 4 in January and he is my little tough guy. Underneath that tough guy exterior is the snuggle bug in him. He loves to curl up in the recliner with his daddy and nap. And boy is he sneaky! If you can hide it, the boy can find it. I think Tyler is going to be just as sad as me when bubba goes to school this year, so to soften the blow I enrolled him in his own ‘school’ {Mother’s Day Out’} so he can have a little break from his mama and make some friends of his own.

Favorite Book: Right now my boys favorite books are pretty diverse. The ones that they run to the most are the Golden Children’s Bible and Thump Whack Moo.

Books

The Golden Children’s Bible is great. I love it that the boys want to read about God and learn more about Him. Tyler likes to flip through the pages and look at the pictures. It’s a great bedtime bible story book. Thump Whack Moo is about a farmer who is building a corn maze on his farm and enlists the help of all the farm animals. But Mr. Duck wants nothing to do with it. It is cute, funny and easy to read. Tyler goes back and makes up his own story and Jacob laughs and likes to make the sounds.

Now that I think I have covered everything. I have to say again how SUPER excited I am to be a part of the M.O.B BlogHop and can’t wait to meet other mommy’s.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!
